How to: Delete a title or label from a chart.
Solution:
Select the chart and select the label or title to delete. Press DELETE.
To delete a title or label:
1) Select the desired chart.
a) If the chart is embedded on the worksheet, double-click on the chart.
b) If the chart is on a separate chart sheet, click the tab for the chart sheet.
2) Select the title or label to delete. (Handles appear around it.)
3) Press DELETE.
